Rebuilding after tragedy
Play Video
Knysna, South Africa -
Early in the morning on June 7th, 2017 winds swept across the hills at 100 kmh and showed little signs of stopping. Flames from the wildfire were approaching a farm called Heartland. The residents Inga, Mikyle and Ansgar evacuated when they got a call saying the fire was approaching…
When the blazing fire came through they lost everything…
Green Pop, a local organization that helps bring people together on a mission of transformation decided to help Heartland rebuild. Members from the community ages thirteen to eighteen assisted in planting 1,500 trees into the open strip of land.
